Do y’all happen to remember this moodboard? Well, I hope so because I’m thrilled to bits to be sharing the final branding from that project today! I’m so excited with how it turned out, so here’s more about the project!
When Iida got in touch with me a few months ago she had seen some of my previous work and really liked it, so she wanted to work with me to create her branding and blog design. As I mentioned in the moodboard post, you really want a client to already love your work. With that being said, I had a really great feeling from the beginning that Iida was going to be such an awesome client and fun to work with.
Before we got started on her project, she had sent over some gorgeously designed blogs with lots of white space and fun pops of color, so I was really excited to see how we could play around with color for her blog. We worked together to create this moodboard with bright colors yet still maintaining white space and the brush lettering that so many people are eating up right now. The words we worked from with this design were playful, feminine, confident, and warmth, and I feel that they’re perfect for the moodboard and the branding that came out of it!
As you can see from the brand board above we had a lot of fun with color in her branding. I had this feeling when I was working on her color logos to try something different with the color and play with gradient instead of just solid colors, and surprisingly the gradient versions were a huge hit with Iida! We had this version as well as a peach / pink one, but ultimately she liked this version so much that it became the final.
From there it was all about the blog design and how we could add those fun pops of color. At first, I’ll admit, I was a little timid with the color. Y’all know me: things are usually pretty simple, but Iida was looking for something with a little more pizazz, so I was happy to push the box and add color in her sidebar titles, header font, and in little buttons (and non-buttons!) around her blog.
I absolutely love how everything turned out for her site. It was so much fun to work on something a little more fun and with a logo as unique as that! I can’t wait to see how her new branding helps her blog evolve and grow over the next several months.
P.s. If you’re looking for a new blog design or branding, I’m currently booking for late September + October projects. Shoot me an email, and let’s see if we’re the right fit for your project!
